"A legacy-bearing institution since 1997, Viver Brasil Dance Company creates culturally rooted and aesthetically bold Afro-Brazilian dance theater with its signature blend of ancestral practices, street styles and live music, addressing contemporary issues of racial and social inequity towards a radically reimagined future."
Using the source images above, I was tasked with creating a vibrant promotional mailer/info card that captured their energy and rich cultural identity. The primary technique I used was masking in Photoshop to give the appearance that the dancers were transcending the bounds of the photos, mimicking the energy of their stage performances.
These physical assets would be distributed at events to secure future bookings, to recruit new group members, and to attract audiences to upcoming shows. These are the info cards from 2018 & 2019.
